The aquarium’s notable specimens include four young whale sharks and four beluga whales Funded mostly by a $250 million donation from Home Depot founder Bernie Marcus, the aquarium was built on a 20 acre (81,000 m²) site north of Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. Marcus credited his 60th birthday dinner at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in 1990 as among the inspirations behind his desire to build an aquarium in Atlanta.

The new record low price was implemented in an effort to help families experience the very best in thrilling, world-class entertainment at a more affordable price.

“We are committed to presenting an unprecedented entertainment value for all of our guests,” said Park president Melinda Ashcraft. “We’re adding rides and attractions, concerts and delivering record high guest satisfaction while at the same time rolling back prices. In this environment, families need an affordable entertainment option that is close to home.”

Six Flags Over Georgia includes 10 thrilling roller coasters and 15 kid and family rides. Favorites such as the 30 year old Mind Bender, the towering Goliath, Thunder River and Splashwater Falls, and Bugs Bunny World, make Six Flags a perfect choice for a fun-filled day. Six Flags also boasts a plethora of
live entertainment, including a full summer of amazing concerts that come FREE with park admission.

If that wasn’t enough, the $10 price drop is just in time for the grand opening of the all-new Thomas the Tank Engine™ themed kids area, Thomas Town, which opens to the public May 17.

Guests can bring their own boats or rent from nearby marinas. Several hiking trails and great outdoor activities in nearby Red Top Mountain State Park.

Come relax on beautiful Lake Allatoona. Only 35 minutes north of Atlanta on I-75.

We offer King, Queen and Full sized beds and one full bath. Full-size sofa sleeper also available. Extra “sun room” can accommodate extra company or children with air mattresses or sleeping bags.

Fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, and refrigerator. Linens are included with stay and kitchen has cooking utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. We offer a private entrance, wood-burning fireplace, and wood-burning Chiminea on the patio. Your kids will LOVE to make smores here!

This home is NOT water front, but second-tier to the lake and in the winter you can see the water through trees. A short drive will take you to multiple boat launches and beaches.
